Connie's parents want to meet Steven's mother and father. Steven freaks out at first because his mother is no longer around. He still has a father but picking among Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl to pretend to be his mother proves problematic. He winds up bringing a fused version of the three in place of his mother.
Connie's parents are stunned by the size and appearance of Steven's "mother". Connie's parents are about to forbid her from ever seeing Steven again when the three defuse and harangue Steven for attempting to run away with Connie.
This is the first appearance of Connie's parents.
It was a little surprising how nonplussed Connie's parents were by the size of Steven's "mother".
This was a fun episode.
