Bunny, Skull, Bunny, Skull
Aleida gets out of prison. She has some trouble adjusting to the outside. She gets some help from Margarita, Caesar's other girl, but that doesn't last. Aleida has trust issues and they get into an argument. Aleida stomps off.
Flores is still standing on a table in the mess hall. It has been days. She's pissed herself but she's still standing. Chapman feels guilty about what has happened to Flores.
Nichols tells Red that she's going straight but then she goes to the Dominicans and tries to get some heroin. They refuse to sell to her. She eventually gets something from Luschek.
Taystee talks Caputo into letting them show The Wiz on movie night. She is very excited about it but no one else seems to share her enthusiasm. An argument breaks out in the middle of the movie, instigated by the Aryan Sisterhood. Coates winds up shutting the movie down before they get very far into the movie.
Suzanne tries rekindling her thing with Kukudio. They meet in the broom closet during the movie. Kukudio starts to get Suzanne off but then she stops in the middle. It's payback for the way Suzanne ran out on her.
Caputo takes a look at Danny Pearson's web page about prisons.
Ruiz tries to get Dayanara to join her gang. Gloria sees what's going on and tries to keep Daya from succumbing to temptation. Daya wants friends who are her own age and thinks that she can take care of herself.
Ramos tells Flaca about what CO Humphrey made her do. It takes a lot of effort to tell her friend about how she ate the live baby mouse. Flaca does her best to comfort her Maritza.
Sister Ingalls gets a message to Burset. She doesn't get a chance to take a picture of her with the phone she smuggled into the SHU. Caputo gives her a hard time and then takes a picture of Burset with the contraband phone. He later hands the phone over to Danny Pearson and tells him to get in contact with Crystal Burset.
Aleida winds up turning to Jazmina, her cousin, for help. Aleida quickly finds out that the stuff she left with Jazmina is for the most part gone, including clothes and money. She goes back to Margarita, who takes her back.
Chapman tries talking Piscatella into letting Flores get off the table. She gets nowhere with him. She tries passing Flores some food. She gets caught doing it and is ordered to join Flores on the table.
Piscatella makes a command decision while Caputo is out of contact. He tells the construction boss to route the pipes for the new building through the garden. They find body parts when they start digging up the garden.
Thoughts
There is no backstory spotlight in this episode.
Whitehill makes a brief appearance but Healy is nowhere to be found. Boo is also missing from this episode. Linda is mentioned but doesn't appear in this one.
I seriously doubt that anyone could stay standing for days on end, without food or water or bathroom breaks.
There were a few moments in this episode that got to me. Aleida's goodbye to Mendoza and Daya was one. Ramos' tearful confession to Flaca was another. I was also moved by the last scene with Aleida where she gets up to take care of Margarita's baby.
What next? I see lots of things brewing. There are lots of little plots but where is it all going? I'm still interested but I don't feel captivated by this season.
