Black Mirror 2.01

Be Right Back

Martha loses Ash, her boyfriend. He is killed in a car accident. She learns soon afterwards that she's pregnant. She grieves until she learns about a service that uses A.I. to create a facsimile of a lost loved one.

It starts with text messages, then moves to conversations over the phone, and then finally she pays for an android copy of Ash. At first it is wonderful but then she starts spotting the differences and realizes that it isn't the same.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine 1.19

In the Hands of the Prophets

Vedek Winn, an orthodox Bajoran spiritual leader objects to the way that the children on the space station's school are being taught. Keiko O'Brien, the instructor, refuses to go along with the suggestions made by Vedek Winn. Keiko takes the issue to Commander Sisko who tries turning to Kira but she isn't very supportive of Keiko's insistence that Vedek Winn back off and not insist that she teach Bajoran theology.

Ensign Aquino, one of the technicians aboard Deep Space Nine disappears. What's left of him is found in a maintenance tunnel. Chief O'Brien and Neela, another technician try to figure out what happened.

Batman Beyond 3.11

Curse of the Kobra - Part Two

Terry recovers and locates Max with some help from Bruce. Terry has some cracked ribs from his most recent fight. Terry breaks into Kobra's headquarters. Zander has revealed his plan to Max by this point. She thinks he's nuts. He orders his men to splice her, with dinosaur DNA.

Terry gets there in time to prevent Max from going reptile. Terry battles with Zander's men and dinosaur men. He gets some help from Kairi Tamaga, the martial arts instructor with whom he was training in Part One. She prevents Zander from setting off a bomb which would alter the global temperature but she is unable to escape Kobra's ship.

The episode ends back at Kairi's dojo where Bruce, Terry, and Max think about her as they watch flowers float in the pool.

This is the making of feature for Genesis of the Daleks. All the interviews were really good and added to the experience. They really went all out with this one. The archival footage of the interview with Michael Wisher was wonderful.

Star Trek (1966) 1.16

The Galileo Seven

The Enterprise is on its way to deliver emergency supplies to Makus III when Captain Kirk decides that they have enough time to investigate an unusual space phenomenon. Galactic High Commissioner Ferris, who is on board to oversee the delivery of the relief supplies, doesn't approve but Captain Kirk points out that they are ahead of schedule.

Mister Spock plus six others (Doctor McCoy, Lieutenant Commander Scott, Lieutenant Boma, Lieutenant Gaetano, Lieutenant Latimer, Yeoman Mears) aboard the Galileo, one of the Enterprise's shuttlecraft, fly into the quasar-like phenomenon near Murasaki 312. The Galileo loses contact with the Enterprise and makes an emergency landing on Taurus II, the only inhabitable planet within the system.

The Matter Transfer Array

Korvo and Terry get obsessed with a TV character named Funbucket. They decide to create their own Funbucket after they discover that Funbucket isn't real. The Funbucket they create eventually decides that he's tired of Korvo and Terry and finds some new friends.

Jesse and Yumyulack shrink down Lydia, one of their high school classmates, who has been harassing them because they look different. They conduct experiments with her until they grow tired. They consider killing her but instead decide to lobotomize her.

Attack on Titan 1.04

The Night of the Closing Ceremony: Humanity's Comeback, Part 2

Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and the rest of their class graduate after years of training. Eren, Mikasa, and Armin decide to stick together and serve in the scout division that serves outside the city walls even though they finished high enough in their class that they could play it safe and serve in the military police, within the city walls.

The day after they graduate the Colossal Titan returns, five years after it last struck the city.

Thoughts

This isn't bad, I'm going to give it some more time but I don't feel drawn into this show or compelled to watch it. I am curious to see how the fights against the Titans go. I assume that Eren and the others won't get slaughtered. The way that omni-directional mobility gear, the devices the soldiers use to fight the Titans and get high up in the air) reminds me a bit of Spider-Man in cartoons.
