Other notes about
- there was an attempt to get away from some of the more gruesome things is Doctor Who stories in the previous 2-3 seasons
- Derrick Goodwin was new to Dr. Who, he usually directed sit-coms and it took some convincing to get him to agree to direct The Invisible Enemy
- K9 had a tendency to malfunction when it was near the camera which was very new
