Marc (Michel Piccoli) and Lars hire Alex (Denis Lavant) to help them pull a heist. Alex leaves Lise, his girlfriend, and moves in with Marc and Anna (Juliette Binoche) while they are getting ready to do the job. Alex gets into an argument with Marc and Marc has a stroke or heart attack. Did I mention that Marc is about 60 years old? Alex flirts with Anna while Marc is recovering.
Lise finds out where where Alex can be found and gets a message to him. The people to whom Marc and Lars owe money contact Alex and ask him to double cross Marc and Lars.
The heist happens. Not everything goes according to plan but Alex gets what he came for and gets away with some help from Lise who is driving his old motorcycle.
Thoughts
Julie Delpy played the part of Lise. I've seen her in several movies including the Three Colors trilogy.
Weird, strange, and not exactly what I was expecting this movie to be. A little overblown and overloaded. There's a science fiction angle to this movie which feels as though it could be removed without really changing much else.
