Speak No Evil
A gorilla is on the loose in Gotham. When Batman catches up to it he discovers that it is intelligent and it can speak. Terry was going to return the gorilla to the Gotham State University lab from which it escaped.
Batman changes his mind after he learns that the ape got this way because a couple scientists experimented on it with illegal chemicals. He offers to help the gorilla bring to justice James Van Dyle, the man who illegally took the gorilla from the wild and separated it from its mother.
Malachi Throne was the voice of the ape. He played the part of Commodore Méndez in Star Trek: TOS (The Menagerie Part 1 & Part 2) and Senator Pardek in Star Trek: TNG (Unification Part 1 & Part 2).
This was an okay episode. Everything worked out a little too neatly, a little too on the nose for me.
