The End - Part 2
Trigon devastates the Earth. Robin, Starfire, Cyborg, and Beast Boy try attacking Trigon, without success. They think that they are the only ones left alive, who hasn't been turned to stone, but then Slade steps out of the shadows. He says that they need to work together.
Robin and Slade go on a mission. They fight Trigon's fire demons. Slade explains what happened to him after the end of Season 2 and how he came to work for Trigon.
Starfire, Cyborg, and Beast Boy provide a distraction by attacking Trigon once again. Trigon fights back with shadow versions of themselves. They split up and each do battle with their shadow selves.
Robin and Slade part ways after a point. Robin finds Raven but she has changed and she doesn't recognize him.
Thoughts
Under different circumstances I would assume that Robin and Slade wouldn't stand a chance against fire demons. I'm not sure what makes this story different other than the fact that the writers want it this way.
This wasn't as bad as I feared it would be. It doesn't work very well as a stand alone episode. It moves the story forward a bit but not a lot happens in this episode.
