The End - Part 1
Raven spends the day with her teammates. She makes them breakfast, they fight a bad guy (Plasmus) together, and then hangout after. Raven knows the Trigon is coming and that she is the portal that will enable him to come to Earth.
Raven's friends try to protect her but when Slade shows up with an army of fire demons they are no match for him. Raven has to step in to help her teammates but instead of doing that she neutralizes them and leaves with Slade.
Trigon double-crosses Slade and strips him of the powers he gave him. Raven's teammates make one more attempt to protect her but she won't have it. She locks them behind a wall, joins Trigon, and opens the gateway so that Trigon can crossover to Earth.
Thoughts
This is part one of a three part story. This installment ended about where I thought it would.
There are two things that I expect to play a part in the next two episodes. One, I expect that Slade will return and help the Teen Titans in some way. Two, Beast Boy gave Raven a penny that he found. He called it his lucky penny or something like that. She drops it near the end of this episode but I can't but feel that it will return and play a significant role.
Raven's resignation is kind of depressing and makes me like the story a little less. She should be more resistant to Trigon's demands even if she feels that she has no choice in the matter.
This was an okay episode. It wasn't as bad as I feared it would be but I still have my doubts about the last two episodes of the season.
