Fargo 4.11

Storia Americana

The episode opens with a montage of moments. Loy uses the ring he got from Ethelrida to make a deal with the Fadda family consigliere. Cannon keeps his word and his gang moves their contraband out of the Smutney house. Leon tries to kill Loy but he gets garroted by Opal. Happy gets gunned down by some of Loy's men at Spud's All Night. Josto kills his father-in-law to be and Dr. Harvard and burns their bodies. Joe Bulo, who is working with the Fadda family consigliere, tells Josto that Cannon is dead. Nurse Mayflower gets out on bail and is brought back to the Fadda headquarters.

Happy

The gang war gets very hot. The Smutney funeral home gets lots of business from the Cannon gang. Weff arrests Josto and Gaetano, but they are out on bail fairly quickly. Loy Cannon turns to Happy, Leon's uncle, for help. Josto tries to to get Weff to play ball again but he isn't willing.

Fargo 4.09

East/West

Omie, one of Loy Cannon's men, arrives in Liberal, KS. He's looking for Calamita. He's got one of the Fadda's hired guns in his trunk, alive. They stop at a gas station. The attendant is Black. He answers Omie's questions. It is Sunday and the owners are at church. Omie offers to do some work in exchange for permission to stick around. Omie and his prisoner paint the wall of the gas station. They are talking when a vehicle drives up. The Fadda man tries to make a run for it but Omie shoots him before he makes it out the door of the building. The driver of the vehicle that just arrived in Calamita.

The Nadir

Josto goes to see Nurse Mayflower again. at her place. They have a wild time together, after which he tells her that he's getting married. She is hurt by the news. She calls the hospital while he is in the bathroom and finds out that Dr. Harvard is doing much better. She goes into panic mode. She gets dressed and tells Josto to get out.

Lay Away

Nurse Mayflower makes cookies for Doctor Harvard. She entices him to try one. It is of course poisoned. A minute after he eats it he falls on the floor and starts convulsing. She takes that moment to look at the anonymous letter he received, before she calls for help.

Camp Elegance

Ethelrida comes home and finds her parents waiting for her with a birthday cake. This scene felt very creepy, almost like a dream. Something was wrong but the scene doesn't last very long.

Fargo 4.05

The Birthplace of Civilization

The police start cracking down on the Cannon gang's operations, legal and illegal. They shut down one of their nightclubs and then hit the Cannon gang's headquarters. Cannon just finished making a deal with a gang from up north. They handed over most of the guns they took from the Fadda gang in return for a pledge to help out when they need it. The police, led by Detective Weff, don't arrive until after the guns are gone. Weff takes the money that Thurman Smutney gave to Loy.

The Pretend War

Ethelrida takes a job cleaning Nurse Mayflower's apartment. She arrives just at Nurse Mayflower's place just as Josto is leaving. Josto runs into Rabbi Milligan as he is leaving the building where Orieta Mayglower lives. Milligan tells him about what happened, the attempt on Loy Cannon's eldest son, and what he learned from Calamita. Josto tells him to keep his eyes open and report back to him.

Fargo 4.03

Raddoppiarlo

The episode opens by taking back a step as it introduces U.S. Marshall Deafy Wickware who is looking for two fugitives, Zelmare and Swanee. He turns to the Kansas City Police for a bit of help. Detective Weff is assigned to help him out. Marshall Wickware, Detective Weff, and a bunch of police officers break into the Smutney home. They look for but are unable to find the fugitives. Smith doesn't seem satisfied but he leaves anyway, empty handed.

Fargo 4.02

The Land of Taking and Killing

Dibrell's sister and a friend break out of prison. They steal some clothes, clean themselves up, and then make their way to the Smutney household. Dibrell tells her daughter to stay in her room but Ethelrida can't help herself. Dibrell is reluctant to let her sister and her friend stay but Thurman, her husband, insists that they can't turn them away.

Welcome to the Alternate Economy

Two crime families have reached a truce in Kansas City. It isn't the first truce between crime families in Kansas City. The Moskowitz family made peace with the Milligan family. The truce lasted for a couple years before the Milligans broke the truce and slaughtered the Moskowitz family. The Milligans made peace with the next crime family to come along, the Fadda family. The Fadda family did as the Milligan family did before them and broke the truce. The Milligan family was murdered by the Fadda family.
