Tongue-Tied

Caputo tries to institute a training program for the new correctional officers. Pearson shoots the idea down. He thinks all they need is a manual and on the job training. Caputo reluctantly agrees to Pearson's plan. The results aren't good. Bayley, a new CO, freaks out when he walks up on a couple of inmates arguing over a game of Uno. He pepper sprays the inmates on purpose and then himself and another CO by accident. Pearson reluctantly agrees afterwards to extend the training to 6 hours, considerably less than the 40 hours Caputo wanted.

Nurse Jackie 1.04

School Nurse

A 10-year-old kid is brought in to the hospital after falling while playing on piece of equipment in  playground. One of his lungs collapsed but Dr. O'Hara gets the lung drained. The kid survives. Justin, his twin brother, is very thankful and hugs Dr. O'Hara very tightly. She doesn't know what to do. She looks around but Jackie is nowhere to be found.

Jackie has been summoned to the elementary where Grace and Fiona go to school. Grace's teacher is concerned about her drawings. They are in black-and-white and don't display the optimism that her teacher is used to seeing. Jackie and Kevin meet with Grace's teacher, a social worker, and the school nurse. The school nurse recommends that Jackie and Kevin consider medicating Grace. Jackie gets angry and has words with the nurse.

Ching Chong Chang

A new prisoner arrives at Litchfield. She asks for kosher food. She insists on it. The kitchen don't have a choice. They have to give it to her and can't ask why. Cindy sees this and decides to get in on the new menu.

Young Justice 2.10

Before the Dawn

Jaime Reyes wakes up in the clutches of the Reach, the aliens who have partnered with the Light. He was dreaming just before he woke up. He dreamed that he just found the scarab for the first time. The scarab is still able to talk to him, once he wakes up, but it is unable to activate any weapons systems. It does translate for him so that he can understand what the Reach scientists are saying.

NewsRadio 3.23

Mistake

Dave's magazine interview in Radio Ink gets published. He said lots of uncomplimentary, not very nice things about his coworkers in the interview and they all got published. He tries to hide it but everyone finds out about it. He tries apologizing to them the only way he knows how: verbally and with handwritten notes.

Matthew doesn't care for Brent (French Stewart), a temp that Beth hired. Matthew thinks that Brent is a little too weird.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power 1.13

The Battle of Bright Moon

She-Ra, Glimmer, Bow, and Swift Wind go to Bright Moon.

Entrapta and Catra are very excited about how things are progressing. Entrapta explains that her contraption that is hooked to the Black Garnet is sucking energy from the other rune stones. It is making them weaker. Catra decides that now is the time to attack and the place to strike is Bright Moon.

She-Ra isn't sure what to do. She has some idea about what's going on. The Horde army is spotted heading for Bright Moon. Glimmer leads her friends to her armory. She's been keeping it a secret from everyone, except her mother who seems to know everything. They don't have much time to get ready before the Horde arrives.

Fleabag 1.03

Episode 3

It is Claire's birthday. Her husband is throwing her a party, a surprise party which she knows about in advance. Fleabag comes. She brings the guy she met on the bus in 1.01, the ones with the really long incisors.

UFO Robo Grendizer 1.18

Launch! Secret Route 7!

The Vegans use mind control to take over the bodies of some of the men of the village of Kisuzaki. Kouji wants to investigate the village but Professor Umon forbids it. Kouji defies the professor's orders and is ready to jump in the TFO and take off for Kisuzaki. Daisuke gets in his way to prevent Kouji from going ahead with his plan.

Minifos attack the Makiba ranch. Daisuke has to help the others on the ranch and Kouji escapes in the TFO. He goes to the village of Kisuzaki. There he encounters lots of men with glowing eyes. They are being mind-controlled by the Vegans. Kouji tries fighting them but they overwhelm him.

Mr. Inbetween 1.03

Captain Obvious

Ray visits Gary in the hospital. Gary has come out of the coma. They have a chat about what Ray did to the guys who almost killed Gary.

Ray gets in trouble with his ex-wife for telling their daughter that he isn't sure if Jesus is real but that unicorns are real. He gets in trouble with his boss because the guys Ray beat up work for a relative of his boss's brother-in-law.

For a summary of the movie please see my previous posting about the 1997 reissue.

This version, the original version of the movie is far superior. The changes made for 1997 reissue don't change the story significantly. Special effects were added or cleaned up. Scenes left out of the original version were added back in.

I prefer this version even though the special effects are very of their day. It feels like a movie made in 1977. The special effects that were added in 1997 felt out of place and look dated by today's standards.

Fake It Till You Fake It Some More

The company running the prison introduces some new work which pays considerably more than the other jobs.

Caputo has a chats with Pearson, the administrator from the prison company. Caputo wants to talk to the higher ups but Pearson is a bit evasive.

Knights of Sidonia 1.04

Sacrifice

Gauna 487 is still pursuing Sidonia. They try firing a round from the heavy mass cannon at the gauna but it shrugs it off. Gauna 487 continues to pursue and is closing fast. Captain Kobayashi orders evasive maneuvers. Many people are killed but precious time has been bought.

Most of the gardes are sent out to protect Sidonia. A squad of four (Tanikaze, Hoshijiro, Kunato, En Honoka) are sent to retrieve one of the two Kabizashi that the elite squad took with them. The other one is lost beyond recovery. Tanikaze locates it but before he can get to it he is ordered back to Sidonia by Kunato.

Nurse Jackie 1.03

Chicken Soup

Jackie turns to Eddie for more pain killers after she accidentally drops her last one down the drain. He gives her a back rub instead of Vicodin. He just found out that the hospital is planning on replacing him with a robot.

Young Justice 2.09

Darkest

Kaldur'ahm gets into an argument with his captive, Lagoon Boy, and before sending him off to the Light and their as yet unidentified alien partners, he injects him with a tranquilizer.

Finger in the Dyke

Boo finds out from Doggett that she gets money from pro-life church goers who think she's there because believes in their cause and acted on that belief. Boo decides that she should try and run that scam. Boo gets her hair done to make her look less butch and gets ready to meet with the leader of the pro-life group.

NewsRadio 3.22

Sleeping

Matthew plays a practical joke on some of the staff. He hides in the refrigerator and scares people when they open it up. He gets Catherine but then she gets him back. He also scares Mr. James but then Mr. James has a heart attack.

Mr. James goes into a coma. They bring him back to WNYC after he spends some time in the hospital. They put his bed in the break room. The doctor recommends that the staff take turns talking to him, around the clock, until he wakes up. They do as the doctor recommends.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power 1.12

Light Hope

Adora meets Light Hope. It isn't their first encounter but for once it lasts a while. Adora isn't entirely comfortable, even though she is there of her own freewill. Light Hope tries to put her ease by changing her form but that doesn't help.

Glimmer is chomping at the bit. She wants to find Adora, even though she isn't healed yet. She and Bow are talking about Adora when there is a knock at her bedroom door. A guard is there with Swift Wind, the horse that She-Ra transformed in 1.03. He is there to collect Glimmer and Bow. He wants them all to go and find Adora. Glimmer is ready to sneak out when her mother shows up and orders her to find Adora.

Fleabag 1.02

Episode 2

Fleabag takes the small statue she stole from her father's second wife and gives it to her brother-in-law to sell. She also hooks up with the same guy she hooked up with in the last episode. She later reunites with her ex-boyfriend, but that doesn't last.

UFO Robo Grendizer 1.17

Saving a Small Life

Hikaru wants to go out with the horses and Daisuke. He agrees but then sees that the weather is getting ready to turn and tells her they can't go. She gets angry at him for breaking his promise. Danbei insists that Daisuke and Hikaru take the horses out.

General Gandal comes up with a plan to help find Grendizer. The Vegans will establish a base on Earth. Blacki is put in charge of executing the plan. He sends Saucer Beast Giba Giba to Earth to level a couple mountains and clear a space for the new Vegan base.

Empathy Is a Boner Killer

Nichols took the heroin. She has it stashed somewhere but they don't show where. She tells Luschek that the heroin was stolen. She moves the drugs to a lighting unit in the laundry room. The drugs fall out of the lighting unit and are found by Angie and Leann. They get high. Nichols sees them and confesses to Luschek what actually happened.
