Episode 2
Dong-ha confirms that it is his wife that is trying to reach one of the dead men. He digs up one of the bodies enough to use the fingerprint of the dead man to unlock the phone. He looks at pictures and videos that the dead man shot, including one with his wife.
Kwang-chul moves into the neighborhood. He has his men learn what they can about the neighborhood. He is watching when Dong-ha is playing catch with Hyun-woo, his son, and Hyun-woo collapses. Kwang-chul offers some assistance. Dong-ha and Eun-joo take Hyun-woo to the hospital. Eun-joo blames Dong-ha for the incident and once again asks him for a divorce.
The police continue to look for the missing men. Joo-hyun, the lead detective gets a lot of grief from her boss when she reveals that she thinks that one of their undercover men might be dead. The police keep an eye on Kwang-chul's men. Joo-hyun and another police detective act like they are a couple looking for a house in the neighborhood. They talk to a real estate agent.
Dong-ha looks into laundering the money. He contacts someone who agrees to launder the money. He meets the guy late at night in a a low-rise office building that is mostly deserted. The guy talks about crypto and taking a 30% cut. Dong-ha has second thoughts about it and goes to leave. Other guys come out of the shadows and chase him.
Kwang-chul and his men visit Dong-ha's next door neighbor who grows weed. They get him to open his door and then torture him. He doesn't know anything. They cut off a couple of his toes. His flips out and tries fighting back. He winds up dead.
Thoughts
Dong-ha was thinking (but not very clearly) when he contacted a money launderer via a web site. Kwang-chul still doesn't seem to have picked up on the fact that Dong-ha is the one he should be interrogating. Dong-ha still has yet to tell his wife what he knows about her. Maybe that reveal will come in the next episode. I can't imagine that he's going to keep that to himself forever.
This is still good. I think I'm still on top of what is going on, more or less. It's getting kind of crazy but there a few characters who I think have to be safe. I am referring to Dong-ha, Eun-joo, Kwang-chul, and Joo-Hyun. They are the main characters in the story. If anything is going to happen to knock them out of it then it probably won't be until the final episode. Almost everyone else is fair game.
Yes, I want to keep watching this series. It hasn't gotten too crazy for me yet. The fact that the episodes are all about 40-45 minutes helps.
