Bilko's Hollywood Romance
Bilko helps film actress Monica Malomar rehab her reputation by taking going out with her. Her manager tricks Bilko into thinking that Monica has fallen for him. Bilko really turns on the charm, which turns off Monica until he helps her get close to a new contract that will pay her more than she currently gets.
Her manager comes up with a new scheme to get rid of Bilko but it backfires. Bilko finds out about it and teams up with Monica to turn the tables on her manager.
Thoughts
Colonel Hall is not in this episode. Captain Barker is the commanding officer with whom Bilko tangles in this episode.
I love it when Bilko plays the part of bumpkin as he does during this episode. It happens so infrequently but is usually quite memorable.
This was a lot of fun up until the very end at which point the story just kind of stopped without really resolving things. This is a superior episode of this show and one of my favorites of this season despite the flaws I described above.
