The Twin Dilemma - Part Three
The Doctor materializes in the TARDIS moments after the building blows up. Peri is grateful to see him alive. He is surprised that she showed any concern for his well being.
The Doctor takes them to Jaconda where he discovers that the gastropods have returned. What used to be a beautiful planet is just a wasteland. The Doctor transports them into tunnels beneath the palace.
Azmael/Edgeworth arrives on Jaconda unaware that the Doctor is nearby. He takes the twins to his laboratory. He explains that he was the ruler of Jaconda until Mestor showed up. He plans to make the two outer planets of the solar system into moons of Jaconda. They think he's crazy.
The Doctor, Peri, and Lang explore the tunnels beneath the palace. Lang gets stuck in a slime trail created by one of the giant gastropods. The Doctor goes on without them and makes his way to Azmael's lab. He attacks Azmael for trying to kill them but Drak pulls him off Azmael and the Doctor calms down.
Lang finally gets free of the gastropod slime trail. Peri and Lang take off in search of the Doctor but they are attacked by two of the guards. Lang is knocked out. The guards take Peri to Mestor.
Lang wakes up alone. He makes his way to Azmael's lab. He tells them about what happened. The Doctor wants to save Peri but Azmael says no because it would endanger his plans.
Thoughts
I'm a little confused about what Azmael is up to. I thought at first that he captured Romulus and Remus because Mestor wanted it. Now I think that he may have tricked Mestor into thinking that he needed to achieve something but that it is Azmael who actually needs them for his own ends.
I'm still not loving this story but I'm still watching it.
