A Model Family 1.04

Episode 4

Kwang-chul sends Dong-ha to Busan to make a delivery. Dong-ha gets there by train. He arrives and his contact spots him and tells him to follow her. He does so only to get grabbed by the guys who are expecting the delivery.

They ask him questions that he doesn't have answers for. They eventually catch on to the fact that he is new to this line of business. They give him the money and a message and send him on his way.

Kwang-chul tells his men that he is planning to break out on his own. One of them repeats what he said to their boss, Yong-soo. Kwang-chul has a brief meeting wih Yong-soo. He asks Kwang-chul about the missing money. Kwang-chul says that he is still looking for it.

Eun-joo has to go looking for Yeon-soo who has disappeared. It seems that she has skipped school once again. Eun-joo eventually finds her daughter. She tries to talk her into coming home with her but Yeon-soo refuses and then leaves with some other teenagers on motorcycles.

Hyun-woo is left to fend for himself. Both of his parents are busy. He winds up walking home from school, alone.

Thoughts

Joo-hyun is in a few scenes in the first 10 minutes of this episode but that's about it. Kwang-chul reveals that he's been working for Yong-soo for 15 years and doesn't really have anything to show for it.

What next? One more episode and I will be halfway through this series. Are things going to start to get better for Dong-ha, Eun-joo, and their kids? Will Yong-soo make a move against Kwang-chul or vice versa?

I guess this episode moved the plot forward a little bit. I'm still not thinking about dropping this show but the way ahead seems a bit murky at the moment.
