Lemon Wacky Hello

Jack put Maya in charge of assembling the contents of the next issue of Blush while he is on a trip to China. Jack returns from China with gifts for everyone including some candy which is called Lemon Wacky Hello. The candy causes everyone to see things that aren't there and act strangely. Maya hasn't finished assembling the next issue of Blush and makes a mess of the it.

Thoughts

I thought the situation was funny for about five minutes after they all started acting strange. It lost its charm after that. They went to the same well one too many times.

In Your Dreams

Elliot agres to take Maya's picture for her ID. The next night she has a sex dream that involves Elliot. Finch finds out and tells everyone.

Finch creates a book of rules for the office. It doesn't go over very well, with of the other employees.

Thoughts

There were a few laughs in this one but some of the humor felt forced. Not great. This sort of episode would not get made today mostly because of the sex dream.

Nina's Birthday

Jack convinces Maya to throw a birthday party for Nina. Maya doesn't really want to but she does it anyway. During he party Maya finds out that Nina broke up with her boyfriend even though she's been acting like they are still together.

Finch makes a bet with Eliot. Finch is convinced that it is a foolproof wager.

Secretary's Day

It is Secretary's Day and Finch doesn't like being treated as Jack's secretary. Finch goes to the zoo and falls into the gorilla cage which leads to a moment of celebrity which includes an appearance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Nina decides to get her breasts enlarged. Maya tries to talk Nina out of going through with the operation.

The Devil and Maya Gallo

Jack tries to distract Maya by giving her a new office, shoes, hats, and courtside tickets for the Knicks. It works until Maya comes to her senses.

Dennis, Nina, and Elliot worry that Maya is having too much sway over her father.

Thoughts

Not bad, not great. There were quite a few moments that brought a smile to my face but none that made me laugh out loud.

Back Issues

Maya Gallo (Laura San Giacomo) loses her job writing for a TV station after she tricks one of the anchors into reading something embarrasing on live television. She can't find a new job and winds up turning to Jack Gallo (George Segal), her father the successful owner of a fashion magazine, for a job.

Maya hasn't seen her father for over a year. He is married to one of her high school classmates. She also meets three of her father's employees: Dennis Finch (David Spade), Nina Van Horn (Wendie Mallick), and Elliot DiMauro (Enrico Colantoni).
