Antique dealer Lawrence Appleby (Robert C. Harris), short on money and tired of his wife, murders her for her money. He makes it look like an accident but before long he is once again short on money. He takes an interest in Martha Sturgis (Meg Mundy), one of his customers after learning that she has money. He proposes. She accepts but it isn't very long before he starts thinking about murder, again.
The ending to this episode is very abrupt but I really like this episode. Both leads plus the supporting actors are all very good in it. I love how the way it is shot hints at what is coming next. I also love how, just before he kills his first wife, Appleby is shown reading a book titled Accident or Murder? Is it a novel or a how to book?
