Gin Ichimaru's Temptation, Resolution Shattered
Gin Ichimaru, captain of third division, teases Rukia as she is on her way to be executed. Rukia doesn't care for his taunts and recalls how he has always made her feel uncomfortable.
Ichigo continues to train with Zangetsu.
Hanataro does what he can to heal Renji.
Yumichika Ayasegawa of 11th Division and Nimth Division Lieutenant Shūhei Hisagi continue to fight.
Kenpachi Zaraki continues to fight with Ninth Division Captain Kaname Tōsen. The Ninth Division Captain uses bankai to gain the upper edge. Zaraki is unable to see her or hear anything but Zaraki uses his sense of touch and his speed to make up for the missing senses and win the fight.
Seventh Division Captain Sajin Komamura steps in once Tōsen is in bad shape and challenges Zaraki. His helmet is shattered revealing the head beneath to be that of a fox.
Thoughts
I didn't see any sign of Ganju, Sado, Orihime, or Uryu in this episode.
The fight between Tōsen and Zaraki takes up a good chunk of this episode. It looks like the execution ceremony is about to begin at the end of this episode. There are still about ten episodes left in the story arc.
