This remake of Doctor Who (1963) 2.02 (The Dalek Invasion of Earth) is considerably shorter than the original. Most of the major plot points are the same but there are some changes to the roles that some of the characters play in the story.

The original was six episodes long and probably clocked in around about 135 minutes in length. This one is about an hour shorter. Each 22 minute episode of the original story was cut down to basically less than 15 minutes. Everything moved so quickly in this story that it often seemed comical. 

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine 1.18

Duet

A Cardassian named Marritza arrives on Deep Space Nine suffering from Kalla-Nohra Syndrome. Major Kira immediately suspects that there is more to Marritza's story that he claims there to be. She has him locked up and then interrogates him while Odo finds out what he can about Marritza's past.

Evidence comes to light that makes it look like Marritza is lying about his identity. The real Marritza was a file clerk at Gallitep, a forced labor camp on Bajor run by the Cardassians. Before the investigation into Marritza's past is concluded it seems that Marritza is actually Gul Darhe'el, the former commander of Gallitep.

The Cardassian being held on Deep Space Nine admits that he is Gul Darhe'el and that Marritza is dead. Something still doesn't seem to be quite right, although Kira is more than satisfied with Gul Darhe'el's statement as to his identity.

Ex-con and somewhat successful jewel thief Frank (James Caan), doesn't like taking orders from anyone. Leo (Robert Prosky) wants Frank to work for him. Frank turns down Leo's lucrative offer until after he meets Jesse (Tuesday Weld). Frank wants to build a life with Jesse. He needs money to make that happen so he accepts Leo's offer.

Frank and his friend Barry pull a big time heist with some help from Leo, who agreed to pay him his end in cash. Leo reneges on his deal. Frank only gets ten percent of what he was promised in cash. Things just get worse from there. Frank can't stand the thought of working for Leo on an ongoing basis. He decides that something has to be be done about it.

Adventure Time 4.25

I Remember You

Ice King wants to write a song to help win him a princess. He visits Marceline in the hopes that she will help him to write it. Finn and Jake watch from a distance confused by what is going on between Ice King and Marceline.

Thoughts

Marceline and Ice King have a past. I think this might be the first time it has been mentioned. He helped her out ages ago. She was a little girl at the time. He was much younger, thinner, and looked different. His first name is Simon.

This was interesting episode. It wasn't as funny as some others but I like it.

Steven Universe 1.23

Monster Buddies

Steven accidentally frees a small monster, a centipeetle, from a bubble. Pearl thinks that the monster should be bubbled up again but Steven convinces the others to let him have a chance at training it.

Thoughts

This was an okay episode. It didn't feel like it went anywhere. In the end the centipeetle reverts to the form it had before Steven released it.

A Model Family 1.01

Episode 1

Dong-ha's life is starting to come apart. He's a professor at a university hoping to get tenure . He bribed the head of the department days before the department head got arrested for sexually assaulting a student. Dong-Ha's wife wants a divorce, his son has serious medical problems, and his teenage daughter is fed up with her parents.

Everything is spirally downward when Dong-ha discovers a car with two dead bodies and a huge bag filled with cash. He disposes of the car and buries the bodies in the backyard, while his wife and kids are away visiting her parents. He almost gets caught by the police while he is transporting the bodies. He accidentally leaves a cell phone in with the bodies he buried and later has to dig them up to retrieve it.

Moonlighting 3.05

All Creatures Great.. and Not So Great

Father McDonovan, a Catholic priest, turns to Maddie and David for help. A woman came to him and confessed that she was thinking about killing herself. Father McDonovan didn't get to see her face doesn't know what she looks like, just that she caught a cab from the church.

Maddie and David go through endless log books from taxi companies until they find the fare. They go to the house where the taxi dropped the woman off. Everything seems normal. The woman is married and happily so, or at least that's what the observe from a distance.

They tell Father McDonovan what they found. He's surprised but accepts it. The next day they learn that Mrs. Adamson blew her head off with a shotgun. Maddie and David visit Mr. Adamson but they don't learn anything new that changes their mind.

Star Trek: The Next Generation 3.06

Booby Trap

The Enterprise locates a thousand-year-old ship drifting in the midst of an asteroid field. The ship is fully intact. Captain Picard, Data, and Worf beam aboard the ship to investigate. They discover the skeletal remains of the crew still at their stations. They don't learn terribly much but when they return to the Enterprise they discover that the Enterprise is trapped.

A network of devices are slowly draining power from the Enterprise. They just have a matter of hours until the shields will be down and the Enterprise will be bombarded with lethal radiation.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine 1.12

Battle Lines

Kai Opaka visits Deep Space Nine for the first time. Commander Sisko offers to take her through the wormhole in the Yangtzee Kiang. She accepts his offer. Major Kira and Doctor Bashir accompany them.

The Yangtzee Kiang picks up a message. Sisko decides to investigate. The ship is shot down by one of many satellites orbiting the moon. Sisko, Kira and Bashir survive the crash landing but Kai Opaka dies from internal injuries.

The team from DS9 are captured by the Ennis, one of two groups that occupy the moon on which they have landed. Shel-la, leader of the Ennis wants to know who they are and what they are doing on this moon. The questioning is interrupted by an attack by the Nol-Ennis, the other group. Several people on both sides are killed.

Schitt's Creek 4.09

The Olive Branch

Patrick finds out that David has been holding out on getting back together with him because of all the gifts that Patrick has been giving him. Johnny buys Stevie a make-up kit. Moira shoots down Alexis' business idea only to discover that the town council loves it.

Thoughts

This episode was okay but falls short of the greatness that this series sometimes achieves. There was one scene with Patrick and David where the actors looked like they were about to break character and laugh.

Baines (Ralph Richardson), the butler to the French Ambassador, pursues an extra-marital relationship with Julie (Michèle Morgan), another employee of the French Embassy. Baines' wife (Sonia Dresdel), also an employee of the embassy, eventually finds out about it accidentally from Phillipe, the ambassador's young son.

Phillipe doesn't really understand what the big deal is about Baines seeing Julie on the side. He thinks that she is Baines' niece. Baines has sworn the boy to secrecy. Mrs. Baines insists that Phillipe not tell her husband that she knows about his secret meetings with Julie.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine 1.11

Vortex

Ah-Kel and Ro-Kel, two men from Miradorn, attempt to sell stolen goods in Quark's bar. One of them gets killed when Croden, a man from the Gamma quadrant breaks in and attempt to take the stolen merchandise  from them. A fight breaks out and Ro-Kel is killed by Croden.

Sisko and Dax locate Croden's planet, in the Gamma Quadrant. Odo is tasked with taking Croden back to Rakhar. Croden claims to know about Odo's people. Odo is intrigued and wants to know more but he suspects that Croden is lying.

Ah-Kel comes after Odo and Croden. He demands that Odo hand over the man who killed his brother. Odo refuses. Odo and Croden take refuge within a vortex. Croden has an ulterior motive for wanting to enter the vortex, his daughter is hidden there. She is the last surviving member of his family. The others were murdered. Croden is wanted by the authorities on Rakhar for killing those who killed the rest of his family.

Schitt's Creek 4.08

The Jazzaguy

Johnny joins Moira's singing group. Everybody loves having him there but when they get a moment alone Moira levels with him, she needs him to leave the group.

Stevie drags David out of bed and takes him to a spa where everyone thinks that they are newlyweds.

Alexis tries her hand at meeting guys via a dating app, Bumpkin. She goes out with a guy who knows Ted but when she reveals that she used to date Ted he walks out on her.

Thoughts

This was a fun episode, I laughed more than once, nothing too intense but very funny in places.

Star Trek: The Next Generation 6.24

Second Chances

Commander Riker leads an away team (which includes Worf and Data) down to the abandoned base on Nervala IV to retrieve the data logs. They only have a few brief windows during which the transporters will be able to transport them down or back up. They quickly discover that the base isn't abandoned. There is still one person living there, Lieutenant Will Riker.

Riker served aboard the Potemkin, the last ship to visit Nervala IV. He was the last person to leave something went wrong when he was beamed out and a duplicate of him remained on the planet. The Potemkin was unaware of what happened. It has been eight years since that day.

The Bondsman 1.08

Lilith

Cheryl Dawson returns possessed by Lilith. Midge returns. She and Hub team up to stop Lilith. They trap her within a pentagram but She makes Hub an offer to make things right, restore Cheryl. Midge tries to discourage him from accepting her offer but he does.

Sheriff Ruby comes after Hub and his family. Lucky is riding with the sheriff and her troops. Everyone (including Lilith) comes together at the end of the episode at the Boxcar, Lucky's bar. Lilith takes possession of Maryanne and tells Hub that she's calling the shots from here on out.

Moonlighting 3.04

Yours, Very Deadly

Gail Woodley hires Maddie and David to figure out who has been sending her love letters. She's been married for 10 yearsGail has been responding to the letters but she's had enough. She wants it to stop. Maddie and David find the guy. His name is Peter Macy. He's deaf and mute. They tell him to back off. 

Allyce has an affair with Herbert Viola, a temp who works at the Blue Moon Detective Agency. She is very aggressive with her physical affection for him. He doesn't know how to respond.

Mrs. Woodley turns up dead the next day. Maddie and David go looking for Peter Macy. They find him dead. They start to think that maybe he didn't kill Gail. Maddie and David decide to stake out the post office box where the letters were being sent. That's how they found Peter Macy.

They don't have long to wait before Ken Woodley, Gail's husband shows up. They corner him. He confesses but then he takes off running.

Star Trek: The Next Generation 5.19

The First Duty

The Enterprise travels to Earth so Captain Picard can give the commencement address at Starfleet Academy. Word comes in as the Enterprise is approaching Earth that there has been an accident involving Wesley's squadron. Joshua Albert, one member of the squadron, was killed but Wesley and the other three survived.

An inquiry into the incident occurs. Nick Locarno, the leader of Nova Squadron, encourages the other three members of the team (Wesley, Sito Jaxa, and Jean Hajar) that they are a team and that they need to stick together during the inquiry. Wesley is uneasy but agrees to go along with the plan.

Adventure Time 4.24

Reign of Gunters

Gunter steals the Ice King's demonic wishing eye and fools the Ice King into thinking that he lost it himself. Ice King goes to Wizard City to get another demonic wishing eye while Gunter makes hundreds of copies of himself and runs roughshod over Jake and Finn's home and the Candy Kingdom.

Thoughts

This was fun. Gunter seems unstoppable until the Ice King arrives in the Candy Kingdom towards the end of the episode.

The Phil Silvers Show 4.14

Bilko and the Medium

Bilko needs $500 to open a bowling alley. The savings and loan won't give him the money without some form of collateral. Bilko turns to Ritzik for help but Emma, Rupert's wife, knows exactly what Bilko is up to and denies the request.

Bilko brings in a phony medium to try and convince Rupert and Emma Ritzik that loaning him the money is the right thing to do. Things don't go exactly as Bilko had planned. Bilko comes out ahead, momentarily, but his conscience gets the better part of him 

Thoughts

Bilko, Barbella, Henshaw, and Ritzik are the only soldiers in this episode. There are no scenes in this episode that take place at Camp Fremont.

This was a decent episode but felt very run of the mill. There was nothing terribly special about it.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine 1.10

The Nagus

Sisko worries that Nog, Quark's nephew, is a bad influence on Jake.

Zek, the Grand Nagus, an important Ferengi official visits Deep Space Nine. Quark hosts a meeting for Zek and several Ferengi merchants. Zek is getting old and announces that Quark will be his successor. Zek dies soon after the announcement.

Quark discovers that being the Nagus isn't all that he hoped it would be. Someone tries to kill Quark but his greed saves him. He tries counting on Rom, his brother but Rom colludes with Krax, Zek's son. Rom and Krax are about to put Quark out an airlock when Zek reveals that he's still alive.

Blaise Starrett (Robert Ryan) is pushed into the position of having to stand up for the small Wyoming town that doesn't really want him when a gang of outlaws arrives looking for refuge. Captain Bruhn (Burl Ives), the leader of the outlaws, keeps his men on a tight leash but he is suffering from a gunshot wound.

Bruhn's men are chomping at the bit to get their hands on the handful of women in town. Bruhn manages to just barely keep his men happy without getting any of the women raped. Captain Bruhn's plan to leave the next day is thrown in disarray when a heavy storm drops a considerable amount of snow overnight.

Star Trek: The Next Generation 3.21

Hollow Pursuits

Lieutenant Reginald Barclay retreats into Holodeck simulations that include recreations of crew members. He has trouble dealing with the outside world. Lieutenant Commander La Forge, Barclay's supervisor, and Commander Riker complain to Captain Picard about Barclay's performance. They want to transfer him to another ship but Picard denies their request and urges La Forge to put more effort into getting more out of Barclay.

Steven Universe 1.22

Steven and the Stevens

Steven brings back an hourglass with him when he is on a mission with Garnet, Anethyst, and Pearl. He inadvertently learns that it can take him back in time. This leads to him creating dupicate copies of himself. Steven and his three duplicate versions of himself decide to form a band but then they start fighting and then more Stevens are created.

Thoughts

This feels like one of the more creative episode of the show. I liked it but it makes my head hurt if I think about it too much.

Marchetti convinces that Marguerite that he will have Lucienne and Jules arrested. He tells her horror stories about what will happen to Marguerite when the Germans get their hands on her. Marguerite, feeling as thought she doesn't have a choice, agrees to tell him where he can find Antoine in return for passes that will get them to Switzerland. Marchetti agrees and she shows him where the Resistance camp is on a map.

Chassagne and Marcel talk in the time that they have left. There is no reprieve for them. They are marched out into the yard. Marcel gives Müller a note for Gustave. Marcel and Chassagne smoke a cigarette and then they are killed by firing squad.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine 1.07

Dax

Jadzia Dax is abducted by Ilon Tandro. He accuses her of treason and the murder of his father, Ardelon Tandro. Sisko confronts Ilon about the kidnapping. Tandro shows him an arrest warrant for Dax. Tandro claims to have been working within the terms of treaties between Klaestron IV, his home world, and the Federation. Sisko sees it differently and insists on having a Bajoran extradition hearing.

Arbiter Els Renora arrives on Deep Space Nine and convenes the hearing requested by Commander Sisko. Odo travels to Klaestron IV to see what he can learn in the hopes of finding something to help clear Dax's name. Jadzia Dax refuses to speak in her own defense or explain why she won't defend herself. Sisko and Doctor Bashir point out that it is Curzon Dax not Jadzia Dax who is accused of the crimes in the warrant.

The Bondsman 1.07

Pyralia

Midge decides to join Hub, his mother, his ex-wife, and his son in chasing down a demon, Pyralia. They locate the neighborhood in which the demon has taken refuge. The demon has killed and taken over the body of a young boy. Midge is the one who finds him. She knows what he is but can't bring herself to shoot the demon.

Lucky finds religion and decides to go and tell the police about what he saw at Hub's place.

Thoughts

I'm almost done with this series. This episode does nothing to make me think that Amazon was wrong to cancel the show. 

Doctor Who (1963) 12.04.06

Genesis of the Daleks - Part Six

The Doctor, with some help form Sarah and Harry, gets the Dalek operator off his neck off his neck and throws it back in the room with the others. The Doctor is ready to blow up the room but then changes his mind. He doesn't feel as if he has the right to destroy the Daleks.

The surviving Kaleds hold their meeting. Davros speaks at the meeting. Only a couple scientists come over to his side. The Doctor and his companions are there but they don't interfere in the proceedings. They find some of the Doctor's gadgets on one of the tables, including his sonic screwdriver and the time ring.

The Doctor, Sarah, and Harry leave the meeting when they see Nyder depart. He tries to attack them but they overpower him. They have him take them to Davros' office, where the recording of the Doctor enumerating Dalek mistakes in future conflicts is stored. Nyder hands it over to them but then he locks them in Davros' office.

Attack on Titan 1.03

A Dim Light Amid Despair: Humanity's Comeback, Part 1

Eren, Mikasa, and Armin start training to become scouts. Keith Sadies, the commander of the training unit, is very hard on all the new recruits. Eren has a lot of trouble mastering balance in a harness. He finally gets it right just in time to avoid getting ejected from the training unit. 

Thoughts

This episode was a big improvement over the first couple episodes. Eren seems to calm down, for the most part, and focuses his energies on learning how to balance in the harness.

Schitt's Creek 4.07

The Barbeque

Patrick buys David a big cookie to celebrate their four month anniversary. Johnny, Moira, and Alexis find out about the anniversary. Johnny insists on having a barbeque to celebrate. David is not amused by the suggestion but he doesn't have a choice in the matter.

Alexis gets a text from Ted. It looks like it might not have been intended for her but she thinks it was. Rachel, one of the guests at the motel, recommends that Alexis tries the direct approach with Ted.

Thoughts

Johnny gets some help from Roland in getting the barbeque going. I love how clueless Johnny is when it comes to barbeque.

I could have watched Black Swan on Hulu. I chose instead to borrow the DVD from the library because it included this documentary. Black Swan Metamorphosis is broken into three parts. Part One is about shooting in New York City. Part Two is about shooting in Purchase, NY where the scenes at the theater were shot. Part Three is about the special effects, practical and digital.

Moonlighting 3.03

Symphony in Knocked Flat

Maddie is tired of guys who don't put out, enough effort when taking her out on date. David finds out about this and suggests that she let him take her out. He promises to make it worth her wild but in return she has to go on his kind of date. She agrees to his terms. 

David runs around town trying to get tickets to something (think ballet or opera) that Maddie would like. He winds up buying a couple tickets off a scalper, not realizing that the seats aren't together.

David picks up Maddie in a limousine. They go to a concert but things get awkward when David realizes that the seats aren't together. They wind up getting kicked out of the music hall.

The next day two pairs of FBI agents come to see Maddie and David, separately. David and Maddie decide that one of the pair's of agents must have been fakes. They rush over to Maddie's home, without saying anything to either pair of FBI agents, real or phony. Maddie finds a parking stub in her purse.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine 1.05

Captive Pursuit

A ship comes through the wormhole from the Gamma Quadrant. The pilot reluctantly accepts help from Chief O'Brien and the crew of the space station. He calls himself Tosk but won't give O'Brien or anyone else any more information than that.

Security detects Tosk accessing the space station's network. Odo suspects that Tosk was attempting to get into the weapons locker. Tosk is locked up in a security cell.

Another ships arrives from the Gamma Quadrant. The commander of that unit demands that Sisko hand over Tosk. He explains that they are hunting Tosk. It is what Tosk was bred for, to be hunted. Sisko finds the situation distasteful but doesn't see what he can do about it.

Black Swan (2010)

Nina Sayers (Natalie Portman) is selected to play the part of the Swan Queen in Swan Lake. Nina lives with Erica (Barbara Hershey), her mother, who treats her like she is much younger than her actual age. Thomas (Vincent Cassel), the director, pushes Nina very hard, to include forcing himself on her. Lily (Mila Kunis), another dancer in the troupe, covets Nina's role and also encourages her to loosen up. Nina replaces Beth (Winona Ryder) as the star dancer in the troupe when she is selected for the role.

Adventure Time 4.22

Ignition Point

Finn and Jake offer to get the scented candles that Flame Princess left behind in the Fire Kingdom. They sneak into her bedroom in the Fire Palace. They discover, as they are grabbing the scented candles, that there is a plot to kill the Flame King.

Finn and Jake decide that they must stop the plot from succeeding before they depart the Fire Kingdom.

Thoughts

The plot to kill the Flame King resembles the plot to kill Hamlet's father in the play by William Shakespeare.

This was fun and not too crazy or weird.

Star Trek (1966) 1.15

Shore Leave

Doctor McCoy and Lieutenant Sulu are part of a four person landing part on a planet that seems to be devoid of animal life. Sulu is analyzing some of the plants when McCoy sees a human-sized white rabbit followed by a blond haired girl. Minutes before they were talking about Alice in Wonderland.

McCoy contacts the Enterprise and tells Kirk what he saw. Kirk thinks that he's talking crazy but goes ahead and beams down with Yeoman Barrows. The now six people on the planet experience more strange encounters. Two of them are killed, McCoy by a knight who runs him through with a lance. Lieutenant Angela Teller is killed by a Japanese fighter airplane from World War 2 that guns her down. 

Kirk fights a classmate from the Academy more than once. Yeoman Barrows is attacked by Don Juan. She later finds a dress that she tries on.

Steven Universe 1.21

Joking Victim

Steven fills in for Lars at Big Donut when Lars claims to be suffering from back pain. Sadie and Steven subsequently find out that Lars was lying. Steven suggest that they give Lars a donut sprinkled with fire salt. Lars starts breathing fire and wrecking havoc in Beach City after he takes a bite of the donut.

Thoughts

Garnet and Pearl are not in this episode.

This episode was fun but not great.

Chassagne wants to know where Antoine and the Resistance fighters can be found. He has most of the people who were at the parade arrested and questioned but no one provides any useful information. 

Marchetti interrogates Lucienne and Marguerite. He's convinced that they must know something. They manage to come up with a good story but in the end Marchetti finds a hole in their story. Marguerite, changes their story and admits that they were together, sexually. She has an arrest record for this sort of thing which the police are able to check. They are released after her arrest record is verified.

Star Trek: The Next Generation 4.23

The Host

Doctor Beverly Crusher falls in love with Odan, a Trill ambassador who is scheduled to try and mediate a peace between the Alphans and Betans. Odan gets injured while traveling to the site of the negotiations. Beverly and the rest of the bridge crew learn then that Odan is a Trill symbiont and the body he inhabits is a Trill host.

The host body is dying but Odan can survive if he is implanted to another body. One is on its way but it will take a couple days for it to arrive. Odan cannot survive that long without a host body. The peace negotiations cannot be delayed as both sides are gearing up for war. Commander Riker volunteers to become the host for Odan until the replacement arrives.

Batman Beyond 3.10

Curse of the Kobra - Part One

Bruce sends Terry to Kairi Tanaga for some martial arts lessons after some of Kobra's goons manhandled him while they were robbing Nova Research Center. Terry bonds with Zander, one of Kairi's other students. Together they fight back against the Jokerz Gang while they are out for a slice of pizza at Cheezy Dan's.

Terry also investigates Doctor Padu Banjahri after he sees the paleontologist attacked by two of Kobra's goons. Banjahri works at the Gotham Natural History Museum. Terry sneaks into the paleontologist's office and discovers that he was working on a project involving dinosaur DNA.

Zander abducts Max. They met earlier in the episode just before the Jokerz Gang showed up. She showed him how to play a video game called Sentries of the Last Cosmos. Terry tries to chase them down but one of Kobra's henchmen beats him up pretty badly. 

The Bondsman 1.06

Revelations

Kitty finds Hub's truck, abandoned. She wonders where he is. Lucky handcuffed Hub to a bench in Hub's basement. He smashes a few of Hub's fingers. He is getting ready to go further when two of the demons from the previous episode show up.

Hub flashes back to a month before, the night that Cheryl Dawson was killed. It was Hub who killed her. She was wearing Lucky's hat and Hub shot her thinking he was shooting Lucky.

Sheriff Ruby, in the present, starts to put the pieces together. She knows that something is going on in the county and Hub is involved. She calls Maryanne and asks her some questions. Maryanne plays dumb. Sheriff Ruby interprets that to mean that she is also involved.

Genesis of the Daleks - Part Five

The Doctor gives Davros details of all future Dalek defeats rather than see his friends tortured. Sarah and Harry are taken away and locked up after the session is over. Davros asks the Doctor to stay behind so that they can talk.

The Doctor tries to talk Davros out of continuing with his schemes. Davros refuses and tells the Doctor that his plans are for the good of the universe. The Doctor tricks Davros and gets the upperhand momentarily but Nyder returns and clubs that Doctor into submission.

Sarah and Harry are thrown into a detention cell with Gharman. He tells them about his plans to overthrow Davros. They escape from the cell with some help from Kavell, one of the other scientists. The resistance, Gharman's side, takes over.

Laura (Iben Hjejle) dumps Rob (John Cusack). She moves out of his apartment and moves in with Ian, an older guy. Rob's life as a record store owner goes on but he doesn't know how to handle the break up. He makes a list of the top five heartbreaks of his life. He leaves Laura off the list at first but later reconsiders.

Rob reaches out to the four other women on his list in an effort to understand where he went wrong and why his heart has been broken at least five times. He doesn't give up on Laura and eventually his persistence pays off.

Open Mic

Patrick suggests that Rose Apothecary needs to do something to attract more customers. He recommends having an open mic night. David is against it but Patrick goes ahead with the idea.

Moira accidentally finds out the sex of Justine's and Roland's baby well before it is born. Roland was hoping to keep it a secret because it is a family tradition going back hundreds of years.

Alexis helps Johnny and Stevie work on the branding for the motel.

Thoughts

This was another very good episode. I laughed at bits from all three plot threads.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine 1.02

Past Prologue

Tahna Los, a Bajoran freedom fighter, approaches DS9 as he is being pursued by Cardassians who are trying to kill him. He is transported aboard the space station as his ship is destroyed by the Cardassians.

Gul Danar, the Cardassian commander of the ship that was pursuing Tahna Los, demands that the Bajoran be turned over to him. Commander Sisko decides to grant Los sanctuary until a Bajoran court can decide how to handle the situation.

Doctor Bashir is approached by Garak, a Cardassian tailor who is the only Cardassian resident of DS9. Garak wants to be friends with Bashir, who reports the encounter to Sisko.

Q Who

Q steals one of the shuttles and abducts Captain Picard. Q has a favor to ask of Picard but Picard insists that Q return him and the shuttle to the Enterprise. Q refuses to comply until Picard agrees to listen to him.

Q transports them back to the Enterprise. The crew of the Enterprise spends hours searching for Captain Picard and the missing shuttle while they are gone. Guinan sensed that something was wrong, reached out to Commander Riker, but wasn't sure what it was.

That Day: The Fall of Shiganshina, Part 2

Eren, Mikasa, and Armin escape on boats with other refugees as the Titans continue to wreck havoc within the city. More people are eaten by Titans. Eren, Mikasa and Armin decide to join the 104th Cadet Corps.

Thoughts

This show seems to be big on spectacle. I don't hate it but it has yet to really grab me. Eren seems to be the main character but he has yet to do anything truly heroic.

Thoughts

I appreciate the fact that the show more or less stayed on topic for most of the episode but the story moved very fast and still felt like a series of skits more than it did one cohesive episode.
