Thoughts
This is not a very good episode. It felt like it was supposed to be a character study but the characters weren't very interesting. The twist ending wasn't too surprising and didn't feel like it revealed much of anything to me.
This story was adapted from a story of the same name that first appeared in Shock SuspenStories 11 (Oct-Nov 1953). That story was written and drawn by Bill Gaines, Al Feldstein, and Jack Kamen.
This is the only episode of this show in which the three leads actors appeared. I haven't seen any of them in anything else in recent years. This is the only episode of this show on which the three writers credited with writing the screenplay have worked. This is the only episode of this show that David Burton Morris directed.
