Russian Doll 2.07

Matryoshka

Nadia and Alan argue in the bathroom over what to do. She wants to keep the younger version of herself. He insists that she needs to return her younger self. She opens the door and sees the birthday party. She closes it and reopens it and sees a classroom of Jewish boys.

Nadia, Alan, and the baby (which he is now holding) wander through the classroom and make it back to the party where they continue to debate. Nadia is steadfast until Ruth shows up. Everything seems kind of normal until Alan notices that there are multiple Ruths. Nadia gives in and agrees that they need to return the baby, in order to set things right again.

Russian Doll 2.06

Schrodinger's Ruth

Nadia/Nora gives birth to herself/her daughter Nadia on the subway platform. Vera, Delia, and Ruth get her to the hospital. She rests there for a while. Chez comes to see her. He's got ideas. Nadia sneaks out with the baby/herself. She gets on the train and time travels from 1982 to 2022.

Nadia's phone rings. It is Maxine, Ruth is in the hospital. Nadia heads there with the baby. She lets Maxine and Lizzy look after Nadia while she goes looking for Ruth. She finds multiple Ruths. She goes to the morgue and finds multiple versions of herself, all dead, and one body that looks like Alan.

Alan returns from 1962 East Berlin. He goes looking for Nadia. Nadia goes looking for Alan. More weird things happen. The episode ends with Alan in the bathroom where the first season of the show began. Someone is knocking at the door. He opens it and comes face to face with Nadia who still has the baby.

Russian Doll 2.05

Exquisite Corpse

Nadia gets off the train in Budapest in 1944, in her grandmother Vera's body. She goes looking for the family treasure which she knows was taken by the Nazis. She goes to her family's old apartment. It is empty but in the building she finds Delia, Vera's friend, who was last seen in 1982 in 2.03 (Brain Drain).

Delia tells Nadia about the warehouse where confiscated valuables were taken. Nadia finds the warehouse and in the basement finds the box that holds her grandmother's valuables. She takes them and hides them in the sewer. She knocks a hole in the wall, places the valuables in the wall and then seals the hole up. She makes a map and gives it to a priest to send to Vera in New York after the war is over.

Nadia gets on the train and winds up in 1968 with Delia. They have the valuables that were hidden in the sewer in Budapest. They exchange the valuables for Krugerrands. Nadia has second thoughts about the Krugerrands but she goes along with Delia's suggestion that Krugerrands, gold coins, are the best things to take in exchange for the family valuables.

Russian Doll 2.04

Station to Station

Alan travels back in time and space. The train takes him to East Berlin in 1962, in his grandmother's body. Agnes was a college student, from Ghana. He never knew her. It all seems great to him until he learns that her friends have plans to tunnel under the Berlin Wall and escape to West Berlin.

Nadia travels to Budapest, but not by train. She takes Maxine with her. Nadia is looking for clues about her family's past. She has the name of the Nazi officer who took her family's money. She finds Krystof, his grandson, but he doesn't have any answers for her. Maxine starts flirting with Krystof. He offers Nadia a hit of something that gives her a crazy dream.

Russian Doll 2.03

Brain Drain

Nadia decides to stay in 1982 and try to figure out what is going on. She goes to see Ruth who takes her to the hospital for a sonogram. Vera, Nadia's grandmother, is there. They have a chat. Nadia learns that the gold coins were stolen once before, during World War II, by Nazis.

Nadia goes home with Vera. She gets some time alone in Vera's apartment and finds some documents hidden behind photographs. She grabs a bunch of stuff and heads out. She notices that she has some weird insect bite like marks on her arms. 

Nadia goes to the public library. She asks Ethel, a librarian, for help. Nadia leaves her name and number. She takes some slides she finds at the library and goes to Crazy Eddie's. She gets a slide projector and goes back to Nora's apartment. Nora shows up. Nadia and Nora talk, they go out for cigarettes. Other people seem to see Nora but then Nadia gets locked up because a cop says she is crazy.

Nadia escapes with some help from Nora. The doctor can't see Nora. Nadia returns to 2022. She finds a note on her door from Alan. He's been looking for her and wants to talk.

Russian Doll 2.02

Coney Island Baby

Nadia returns to the present after getting into an argument in 1982 with Vera, her grandmother, over the stolen money. She tracks down Chez in the present. She wants to know what he did with the money. He explains that he doesn't have it. She leaves after getting a hint as to where she can find him in 1982.

Nadia returns to 1982 and tracks down Chez at a sports club where he plays racquet ball. She asks him for the money. He tells her that she (Nora)  has it. He gave it to her last night. He insists that he doesn't have it. Nadia realizes Nora must have spent it on the Alfa Romeo.

Russian Doll 2.01

Nowhen

Nadia visits Ruth, her godmother, in the hospital just after a car accident. Nadia talks to Maxine on the phone. Nadia gets on the subway and finds herself transported back to 1982. She finds a matchbook in her pocket with a message from someone named Chez who wants her to meet him at a bar called The Black Gumball.

Nadia goes to the bar. Chez seems to recognize her. Nadia has no idea who he is. She goes with him once she discovers that he is Chez. Together they rob an apartment and then go back to his place. Nadia goes to use the bathroom. looks in the mirror and sees her pregnant mother staring back at her.

Nadia freaks out and leaves. She catches the train back to 2022. She talks to Alan, and tells him about what happened. He has a date lined up and doesn't seem to take her story seriously. Nadia goes to see Ruth in the hospital. She asks Ruth about Chez, learns that he's the one who stole kugerrands from her grandmother, and then heads back to the subway.

Nadia catches the train back to 1982. She returns to Chez's apartment. She confirms what they stole form the apartment. Chez runs off with the coins while she is in the bathroom. She runs after him but is unable to keep up.
