The Booster Manifold

Korvo and Terry look into getting a jet ski. Korvo gets injured while doing some repair work. Korvo sweats out a red goobler. Korvo and Terry go hunting for it because they are sure that it wants to kill Korvo.

Jesse grows a flower out of her head. The flower's fragrance makes everyone want to hang out with her. Yumyulack thinks Jesse's flower is dumb until he grows one of his own. The fragrance of his flower has a similar effect but when the fragrances mix it causes problems.

The Pupa goes on another adventure by itself.

The Twin Dilemma - Part Four

The Doctor and Peri are reunited. The Doctor finally meets Mestor. He offers to help him. Mestor accepts the Doctor's offer and sends him and Peri back to help the Twins with the planet moving project.

The Doctor figures out what Mestor is hoping to do, disperse gastropod eggs throughout the universe. He tries to stop him with a frontal assault but Mestor's defenses prevent the Doctor from destroying him.

The Doctor and Azmael work together and destroy Mestor. Azmael dies, having previously used up all his regenerations. Lang decides to stay on Jaconda. The Doctor and Peri prepare to take the twins back to Earth in the TARDIS.

Harry has problems of his own: Ellen, his wife, has been having an affair. Harry is angry but isn't sure how to respond to her infidelity.

Thoughts

This movie is based on historical events but it is not entirely historically accurate.

Schitt's Creek 4.12

Singles Week

Everyone is running last minute errands just as Singles Week is about to begin. Moira is supposed to be giving the key note speech at the Singles Week kickoff event but then Jocelyn goes into labor. Alexis is forced to start Singles Week all on her own. David has a chat with Ted who tells him that he broke up with Heather. Jocelyn gives birth. Ted shows up at the Singles Week kickoff event and tells Alexis how he feels about her.

Thoughts

This was a good episode. It was very heartfelt. It didn't have quite as much humor as I like but I guess I can overlook that in this case.

Attack on Titan 1.08

I Can Hear His Heartbeat: The Struggle for Trost, Part 4

The surviving soldiers use the Titan that is fighting the other Titans to their advantage. While it engages the other Titans they make their way to the headquarters building. There are smaller Titans inside the building but the soldiers use a combination of muskets (that they find in the building) and their swords to kill the Titans.

They head back outside. The Titan that is killing the other Titans look like it is about to be overcome. It kills all the Titans that are on it but then it collapses. Both of its arms are gone. Mikasa gets a little closer and sees Eren emerge from a spot on the back of the Titans neck. He is unconscious but alive.

Star Trek: The Next Generation 6.10

Chain of Command - Part 1

Captain Picard is relieved of command of the Enterprise. Doctor Crusher, Lieutenant Worf, and Captain Picard begin training for a secret mission. Captain Edward Jellicoe is given command of the Enterprise. He immediately starts to make changes, changes that get on the nerves of all the senior officers.

Picard, Crusher, and Worf train until Picard feels that they are ready. They depart in a shuttlecraft. It is at this time the Picard explains the mission to the other two. They are to sneak into Cardassian space to a planet called Celtris III. It is believed the Cardassian are developing metagenic weapons, extremely deadly biologic weapons. Their mission is to determine if this is true and destroy the weapons if they do exist.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds 1.01

Strange New Worlds

Captain Christopher Pike is recalled to duty early after his first officer goes missing while on a mission near Kiley 279. The planet that seems to be near warp technology but that turns out to be misleading. Pike and two of his bridge crew (Spock, La'an) disguise themselves as locals and beam down.

They locate the missing Starfleet officers. They are getting ready to leave when they discover that Starfleet is partly to blame for the fact that the people of Kiley 279 have developed some variant of warp technology which they are using to create weapons. Pike decides that he can't leave without attempting to make things better on the planet.

Pike and Spock stay behind and show the leaders of Kiley 279 what became of Earth when they used nuclear technology to create weapons.

Thoughts

I decide to give this series a try because the first season is currently free on Prime. I've got to say that I wasn't terribly moved by what I saw. I found Pike's attempt to tell the people of Kiley 279 about what happened on Earth to be very preachy. It wasn't exactly winning me over prior to that and that just tipped me away from wanting to keep watching.

The Six Million Dollar Man 1.04

Day of the Robot

Steve escorts USAF Major Fred Sloan to a test for a new missile defense system that is designed to shoot down incoming missiles. Major Sloan, an old friend of Steve, designed an important component to the missile defense system.

Fred doesn't think he needs an escort but Oscar Goldman insists. A criminal organization led by Gavern Wilson and Doctor Chester Dolenz uses a robot built by Dr. Dolenz to try and steal the components designed by Fred Sloan.

Steve and Fred stop during their drive to the test site at a gas station. Steve doesn't notice it but Fred is kidnapped and replaced by a robot duplicate while they are at the gas station. It isn't until later that Steve realizes that something isn't quite right with Fred.

The Long Season 1.04

Episode 4

Hualin, 1998. Luo Meisu, Xiang's wife, calls in a psychic to help her figure out what why Yang spends so much time lying in bed. The psychic says that it has something to do with a woman. Luo tells Xiang later about what the psychic said. He discounts it as nonsense and then they goes to talk to his son. Yang says some cryptic things about leaving Hualin and never returning.

Xiang and Ma Desheng talk some more. Captain Ma realizes that he is going to have to count on Xiang because the police department won't give him the resources he needs. He takes Xiang out to eat at night and they talk about the case. Xiang has a theory that Captain Ma didn't consider, for why the body parts were found in three different places.

Star Trek: The Next Generation 1.09

Hide and Q

Q arrives on board the Enterprise dressed like a Starfleet admiral. He interferes with a rescue mission and takes Riker, Data, Geordie, Tasha, and Worf from the Enterprise. He wants them to play a game with him. Picard is left behind on the bridge of the Enterprise by himself.

Tasha is sent back to Enterprise by Q. Picard and Q wager as to how Riker will respond to the test that Q has devised for him. Worf scouts ahead and finds aliens dressed like Napoleonic troops. They follow him back to the others. Q makes himself look like Data (for no discernable reason) and then gives Riker the same powers that he possesses.

Felix, the store manager, his wife Amelie and his daughter Isabelle are used to seeing prisoners on work release around town and think nothing of hiring them to fix the roof.

Episode 4

Kwang-chul sends Dong-ha to Busan to make a delivery. Dong-ha gets there by train. He arrives and his contact spots him and tells him to follow her. He does so only to get grabbed by the guys who are expecting the delivery.

They ask him questions that he doesn't have answers for. They eventually catch on to the fact that he is new to this line of business. They give him the money and a message and send him on his way.

Things turn sideways for the Corleone family after Don Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando) decides not to get involved in the drug trade. The Corelone family's would be partners in the drug trade don't take kindly to Don Corleone's decision. They try to kill him but he survives the attempt on his life.

Sollozzo, who previously came to Don Corleone looking to form a partnership, leans on Tom Hagen (Robert Duvall), the Corleone consigliere, to convince Sonny (James Caan), Don Corleone's oldest son, to make the deal that his father would not. Sollozzo makes plans for a second attempt on Don Corleone's life that gets foiled when Michael (Al Pacino), Don Corleone's youngest son, visits his father in the hospital.

Schitt's Creek 4.11

The Rollout

Johnny and Stevie talk to David about the moisturizer that they bought from his store. Stevie has a rash. Johnny suspects that it was caused by the moisturizer. He later finds out that it is the flower arrangements that he pulled together (which include poison oak) that caused the rash.

Moira and Jocelyn both get summons for jury duty.

Mutt returns to town. Alexis has a talk with Mutt which leads to her having a talk with Ted which leaves Ted looking very distraught.

Attack on Titan 1.07

Small Blade: The Struggle for Trost, Part 3

Things don't get much better for Mikasa, Armin, and the other soldiers who are still alive but outside the inner most walls of the city. They are running out of gas to power their mobility units. Mikasa finds out from Armin that Eren and his squad are all dead.

Mikasa tries to get the others to follow her but no one does. She kills one Titan before the gas in her mobility unit runs out. She almost gets killed by another Titan but then a third Titan, one with pointy ears, attacks the Titan that is about to kill her. The pointy-ear Titan destroys the other Titan and kills another one after that.

Armin helps Mikasa get back up to the roof tops. He gives her all the gas he has left.

Star Trek: The Next Generation 4.16

Galaxy's Child

Doctor Leah Brahms visits the Enterprise, the ship whose engines she helped to develop. Lieutenant Commander La Forge worked with a Holodeck recreation of Doctor Brahms once in the past, see 3.06 (Booby Trap). He knows quite a bit about her and assumes based on his working relationship with the holographic version of Doctor Brahms that they will get along.

Things don't work out between La Forge and Doctor Brahms quite as he hoped they would. She doesn't care for the modifications he has made to the Enterprise's engines or for his explanations as to why the modifications were made. She shuts him down when he tries to extend the hand of friendship by pointing out that she is married, something that he didn't know.

Doctor Who (1963) 21.07.03

The Twin Dilemma - Part Three

The Doctor materializes in the TARDIS moments after the building blows up. Peri is grateful to see him alive. He is surprised that she showed any concern for his well being.

The Doctor takes them to Jaconda where he discovers that the gastropods have returned. What used to be a beautiful planet is just a wasteland. The Doctor transports them into tunnels beneath the palace.

Azmael/Edgeworth arrives on Jaconda unaware that the Doctor is nearby. He takes the twins to his laboratory. He explains that he was the ruler of Jaconda until Mestor showed up. He plans to make the two outer planets of the solar system into moons of Jaconda. They think he's crazy.

Star Trek: The Next Generation 6.09

The Quality of Life

The Enterprise visits a potential mining operation on Tyrus 7A. Captain Picard and Lieutenant Commander La Forge need to evaluate the particle fountain and report back to Starfleet. Doctor Farallon, inventor of the particle fountain, is having trouble keeping it up and and running. This leads to the discovery that she has also created small, robotic assistants that she calls Exocomps.

The Exocomps exhibit considerably more intelligence and ability than most robots. One of them refuses to follow and order that would have placed it in danger of being destroyed. Data posits that the Exocomps might be a form of life similar to himself, despite looking radically different. Doctor Farallon thinks that the Exocomp that refused to follow an order just malfunctioned.

Thoughts

This was Sissy Spacek's first film. She played Poppy, a young woman that Nick saved from Mary Ann's sex slave business. Spacek was about 23 years old at the time but could have easily passed for five years younger.

The Phil Silvers Show 4.16

Bilko's Hollywood Romance

Bilko helps film actress Monica Malomar rehab her reputation by taking going out with her. Her manager tricks Bilko into thinking that Monica has fallen for him. Bilko really turns on the charm, which turns off Monica until he helps her get close to a new contract that will pay her more than she currently gets.

Her manager comes up with a new scheme to get rid of Bilko but it backfires. Bilko finds out about it and teams up with Monica to turn the tables on her manager.

Thoughts

Colonel Hall is not in this episode. Captain Barker is the commanding officer with whom Bilko tangles in this episode.

The Long Season 1.03

Episode 3

Hualin, 2016. Xiang goes looking for Biao. He tries Biao's apartment but doesn't find him there. Xiang runs into Liru and asks how things are between her and Biao. She asks him to stay out of their marriage.

Xiang asks around some more and finds out that Biao is gambling at an arcade. Xiang finds Biao but just as he gets to him the arcade gets robbed. The police show up minutes later and everyone is taken into police custody. Biao gets fined but Xiang is let go without further incident.

Xiang decides that they need some help. He turns to the former police captain, Ma Desheng for help. They find him at a dance hall trying to get into a local competition.

Steven Universe 1.26

Ocean Gem

Steven is temporarily grounded by Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl. They cancel the grounding when they see that there is a bigger problem: the ocean is gone. Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, Steven, Connie, and Steven’s father take off across the desert. They travel all day and into the night until they find the water.

Lapis Lazuli is using the ocean’s water to create an extremely tall tower. She tells Steven and the others to leave. She creates watery versions of them that they fight until Steven decides he’s had enough. He uses his abilities to dispels the watery doppelgängers.

Steven travels to the top of the tower which stretches all the way into outer space. He talks to Lapis Lazuli. He learns that she is trying to get home but her gem is cracked. Steven heals her. She thanks him and then flies off on watery wings. The ocean falls back to where it was. Steven and his friends make it home safely.

Greta convinces him not to leave her after suggesting that they should move from New York City to Los Angeles where she has already bought a home and bought him into a stock trading partnership.

Solar Opposites 1.03

The Quantum Ring

Korvo decides to become a magician after Terry, Yumyulack, and Jesse once again don't show up to his Taco Tuesday celebration. He combines magic and alien tech but no one is interested in his tricks. That all changes after a couple kids surreptitiously film him doing a bunch of tricks in an alley. He becomes known as the Incredible Burn Victim Trash Man.

The people that Yumyulack shrank down and has put in his ant farm like container (aka the Wall) start to get restless. Tim and Cherie go on a quest to help one of their fellow inmates get some insulin. Jesse has been feeding them but for the most part only candy.

Batman Beyond 3.13

Unmasked

Terry tells Max about the time he showed a little kid what he really looks like under the mask. Miguel Diaz, the kid, was in a burning building. Batman tried to rescue him but Miguel was scared of him and kept backing away from Batman. Terry removed his mask to prove that he was a regular person and not some sort of monster. The kid relaxed and let Batman save him.

Kobra gets wind of the fact that Miguel saw what Batman really looks like and kidnaps him. They use a device on Miguel that transforms his thoughts into images. Batman manages to track down Kobra's hideout but it is too late because they have already transmitted the image that appeared on the screen to all other Kobra locations.

In the end it turns out that the joke is on Kobra because the face in the image is that of one of Miguel's action figures.

Black Mirror 2.02

White Bear

Victoria wakes up. She can't remember who she is or anything about where she is. She goes outside. People are watching her from a distance, taking pictures and video of her with their phones. A masked man drives up, gets out of his vehicle, and pulls out a shotgun. She starts running. People see what he's doing but they do nothing to help her.

Victoria meets a couple at a gas station. They try to help her. The man gets killed. The woman helps Victoria keep on the run from the man with the shotgun. Vitoria keeps remembering things but they aren't full memories, only scraps.

Doctor Who (1963) 21.07.02

The Twin Dilemma - Part Two

Lang, the man with the gun, collapses before he can shoot. The Doctor disables his gun and places the power source for the gun in the wardrobe. The Doctor and Peri talk about what to do next. Lang said something about children in trouble before he passed out. The Doctor decides that they must go looking for them, despite the elevated levels of radiation that the TARDIS detects.

Edgeworth pushes Romulus and Remus to get their work done. They refuse until Mestor rings in and scares them into getting back to work. Edgeworth sends Noma and Drak out for a look around. They run into the Doctor and Peri who sneaked in through a door they found. Drak and Noma take the Doctor and Peri to see Edgeworth.

Star Trek: The Next Generation 6.04

Relics

The Enterprise finds the Jenolan, a transport vessel that has been missing for over 75 years. The Jenolan crashed on the exterior of a Dyson sphere. Commander Riker, Lieutenant Commander La Forge, and Lieutenant Worf beam aboard the Jenolan. Geordi discovers that someone's pattern is still locked into the transporter. Geordi activates the transporter and Captain Montgomery "Scotty" Scott materializes.

Scotty returns to the Enterprise with Geordi and the others. He is very curious about the "new" Enterprise. He asks lots of questions and tries to "fix" things in engineering. Geordi has to educate Scotty as to how things have changed in the decades that he has been gone. Scotty tries to fix things in engineering based on his knowledge of starships from 75 years before. Geordi gets frustrated with the older engineer's attempts to be useful and goes off on him.

Attack on Titan 1.06

The World the Girl Saw: The Struggle for Trost, Part 2

Armin has serious trouble processing what he just happened. He can't believe that Eren is gone. Some of the other soldiers try to get him to get up and move. Eventually he does. He finds someone else who lost a friend and is trying to revive them. It is pretty clear to Armin that the soldier is dead.

There is a bottleneck at one of the escape routes because a farmer is blocking the passageway with his cart which won't fit. He wants the civilians who are standing around waiting to go through to help him push it through. Mikasa shows up and after killing a Titan in front of the group she intimidates the farmer into moving his cart so that the large group of people can get through.

Mikasa flashes back to her first meeting with Eren. It was the same day that her parents were killed. She was taken by the three men who killed her parents. The planned to sell her into slavery. Eren found them and despite being a child like Mikasa he killed two of them. Mikasa slew the third.

C.W. Moss, a gas station attendant. Buck Darrow (Gene Hackman), Clyde's older brother, and Estelle, Buck's wife join the gang which the newspapers dub Darrow Gang.

Wonder Woman 1.10

Judgement from Outer Space - Part 2

Wonder Woman recovers from the piercing sound and reaches out to the Council of Planets, using the communications equipment in the flying saucer. Gorel, Sakri, and the other members of the council hear her appeal for help but they do not respond.

General Blankenship sends Major Trevor to England to work with British Intelligence to see if they can rescue Andros, who is now a prisoner of the Nazis. Steve and Mallory, a British spy, make plans to parachute into Germany.

Wonder Woman doesn't wait for Steve. She flies to England and breaks into the castle where Andros is being held. One of the Nazis rips off her magic girdle, while she is fighting them, thus stripping her of her superhuman abilities. She joins Andros as a prisoner of the Nazis.

Star Trek: The Next Generation 1.15

The Enterprise docks at Starbase 74 for repairs. Most of the crew leaves the ship for some time off. Commander Riker keeps an eye on the Bynars, aliens, who are making repairs to the ship's computers. He asks a couple of them about the repairs that they are making to Holodeck 4. They tell him that their repairs to the Holodeck are complete if he would like to give it a try.

Commander Riker has the Holodeck create a program that simulates a New Orleans nightclub. He enters and is blown away by how real it looks. He plays with a trio of musicians. There is one person in the audience, Minuet, also a hologram.

The Long Season 1.02

Episode 2

Hualin, 1998. Wang Xiang is in the hospital. Luo Meisu is there visiting him when Song Yukun, the factory manager, comes to see him. Song leared from Ma Desheng that Xiang was helping the police. Song came to the hospital, with a camera crew, to try and put put a good face on what is currently a bad situation. Hualin Steel is going through a bad period between the protests by factory workers and the dismemberment case.

Wang Yang talks to a friend about Shen Mo who seems to have disappeared. No one in her dorm knows what happened to her.

Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) flees terrorists in a time traveling DeLorean from 1985 to 1955. The terrorists shot and killed Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd), the man who turned the car into a time machine. Marty accidentally inferes with history and endangers his own existence by altering history on the day that his parents first met.

Marty turns to Doc Brown in 1955 for help repairing the time machine so he can get back to the future. Marty mentors George McFly (Crispin Glover) his father,  and fights off the amorous advances of Lorraine Baines (Lea Thompson), his mother, as he tries to get them together before it is too late.

Adventure Time 1.24

His Hero

Finn and Jake meet Billy, a legendary hero that Finn worships. They are surprised to learn that Billy has given up on using violence to fight evil. Finn decides that he must do the same. Things don't exactly work out and by the of the episode Finn reverts to fighting evil by using violence.

Thoughts

I must have seen this episode before but, as with many episodes of Adventure Time that I watched over a decade ago, I don't recall seeing it before.

This was fun. I love how wrong things go when Finn and Jake try to help people without resorting to violence.

Steven Universe 1.25

Mirror Gem

Pearl gives Steven a magical miror to play with, except that it doesn't seem to work when Pearl tries to activate it. Steven walks around with the mirror, talking to his reflection in the mirror. The mirror starts to repeat things that Steven has shown it.

Pearl and the others are stunned when they learn that the mirror has been communicating with Steven. They try to take it away from him but he runs off. He asks the mirror what he should do and it shows him.

Steven removes the gem from the back of the mirror and the mirror shatters. The gem trasforms into a woman names Lapis Lazuli. Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl try to capture her but she fights back and escapes into the sea.

A Model Family 1.03

Episode 3

Dong-ha escapes from the guys chasing him. He goes home and walks into the backyard. He sees some men walking through an adjacent yard with what looks like it might be a body. Kwang-chul is with them.

Joo-Hyun continues to look for answers, despite advice from higher ups telling her to drop and bury the case.

Dong-ha is getting ready to take Yeon-soo to school the next day when he notices something going on at the house next door. He and Yeon-soo, his daughter, find out from the police that the man next door is missing. Yeon-soo heard someone noise but she only tells her father after they have gotten in the car and left.

Star Trek: The Next Generation 4.19

The Nth Degree

The Enterprise arrives at the Argus Array, a large unmanned space telescope that is in need of repair. They find a probe of unknown origin near the telescope. Lieutenant Commander La Forge and Lieutenant Barclay investigate the probe from one of the Enterprise's shuttles. Barclay gets injured while they are studying the probe but recovers fairly quickly after they return to the Enterprise.

La Forge and other members of the crew notice that Barclay isn't quite the man he used to be. He is considerably more intelligent, more confident, and changed in many other non-visible ways. A scan by Doctor Crusher confirms that his brain is operating at a level that is unheard of for humans. Barclay estimates that his IQ is now somewhere close to 1500.

The Unstable Grey Hole

Korvo and Terry put nanobots in the water system to try and learn about their neighbors. It works so well that they decide to try and take over the neighborhood's home owners association. They are on the verge of succeeding when the nanobots intervene.

Jesse tries to show Yumyulack that not all humans are bad, in an effort to stop him from shrinking down people. It works to a degree but only because Jesse has installed chips in the humans that they talk to. Her plan falls apart when Yumyulack insists that they visit a biker bar.

The pupa goes on a little trip while everyone else is busy with their own projects.

Batman Beyond 3.12

Countdown

Mad Stan strikes at the World Science Symposium. He's trying to wake the world up to the dangers of technology by blowing up things like the World Science Symposium. Batman shows up but Stan escapes while Batman is rescuing scientists.

Zeta and Ro, are in Gotham, when they are attacked by agents of the National Security Agency led by Agent Bennett. Zeta and Ro get separated. Zeta gets knocked out but rescued by Mad Stan who doesn't realize until later than Zeta is a robot.

Ro turns to Batman for help. He agrees to help her out after rescuing her from members of the Jokerz gang.

Captain's Holiday

Captain Picard returns from mediating a treaty exhausted. He has no interest in taking some time off but the crew conspires to make him take some time off on Risa.

Picard finds himself caught in the midst of some intrigue involving a human archaeologist, a Ferengi, and a pair of Vorgons from the 27th century. All of them are looking for the Tox Uthat, a device of great power that originated in the 27th century and that they believe to be hidden on Risa in the 24th century.

The Twin Dilemma - Part 1

Romulus and Remus, twin brothers, are abducted by Edgeworth, an old man. He transports them aboard a spaceship. Edgeworth answers to Mestor, an alien. Edgeworth is tasked by Mestor with bringing the twins to him.

The Doctor gets used to his new form. He decides that he needs a change of clothes. He insults Peri and then attacks her. Peri manages to get him to back off with a mirror. He passes out. The Doctor decides that he needs to atone for what he's done, after he wakes up and Peri tells him all about it.

Romulus and Remus are locked up. They try to send out a distress call. There are people looking for them but the twins have no idea where they are.

Attack on Titan 1.05

First Battle: The Struggle for Trost, Part 1

Eren attacks and deals a mighty blow to the Colossal Titan. It disappears but lots more Titans attack the city. Civilians are evacuated to within the next set of inner walls. The guards are quickly organized to fight back against the Titans.

Eren gives a motivational speech that motivates some of his fellow guards. They attack the Titans. Armin is almost killed by a Titan but Eren saves him. Eren is unable to save himself as he is swallowed by the Titan right in front of Armin.

Thoughts

This is the first installment in an arc that runs through the 13th episode. I'm going to try and stick with this series until that point.

Judgement from Outer Space - Part 1

Andros, an alien from a distant solar system travels to Earth as ordered by the Council of Planets. He has been there before and has returned to observe Earth one final time. If it doesn't prove worthy then the Council has plans to destroy all humans on Earth.

Paul Bjornsen, a Nazi posing as a Swedish journalist, learns of Andros. He gets close enough to Andros to see a demonstration of his powers. He gets some inside information from Etta Candy, who has a crush on the fake Swedish journalist.

Andros meets Wonder Woman on a couple occasions, between which he also meets with the President of the United States of America. Andros explains the situation to her. He sees through her disguise as Diana Prince but he doesn't tell anyone about her dual identities.

Schitt's Creek 4.10

Baby Sprinkle

Jocelyn talks David into helping her plan her baby shower, after her sister back out of doing it. Alexis runs into an old friend who wants to hire her away from Schitt's Creek. Moira and Johnny go to a singles event as a means of doing research for the planned single's week.

Thoughts

It didn't feel like there was very much to this episode. I think I chuckled a few times but I don't recall laughing very loudly.

Adventure Time 1.05

The Enchiridion

Finn saves Princess Bubblegum from a fall. She tells him about the Enchiridion, a book of magic. Finn goes on a quest to find it. Jake goes with him. They find it.

Thoughts

This episode, in some places, is listed as the first episode of the first season but in many others is is listed as the fifth one.

I decided to watch this episode again because the Enchiridion was kind of a thing in the last episode I watched 4.26 (The Lich). It had been more than a decade since I last watched this episode. I kind of remembered it but not very well. It didn't shed much in the way of light on the Enchiridion.

The Phil Silvers Show 4.15

Bilko's Bopster

Skinny Sanders, a jazz musician, joins Bilko's platoon. Sanders is loud and gets on everyone's nerves. Bilko tries to get him transferred to another base until he learns that Sanders is in high demand.

Bilko withdraws his transfer request for Sanders and instead focuses his energy on finding a band for Sanders.

Thoughts

Captain Barker is in this episode but Colonel Hall is not.

Ronny Graham played the part of Skinny Sanders. I didn't recognize him but he was in a few films that I have seen including The World's Greatest Lover (1977), History of the World: Part I (1981), To Be or Not to Be (1983), Spaceballs (1987), and Robin Hood: Men in Tights (1993).
