Morning of the Sentence
Everyone starts to gather for the big event, the execution of Rukia. Eleventh Division's captian Kenpachi Zaraki and his lieutenant Yachiru Kusajishi, free the prisoners (Sado, Ganju, Uryu) from their jail cell. Together they try to make their way to the site of the execution but then get hopelessly lost in the maze of streets.
They stop, exhausted from running and are confronted by Ninth Division Captain Kaname Tōsen, Seventh Division Captain Sajin Komamura, and their lieutenants. Two of Zaraki's men stay behind to help him fight the four but everyone else takes off. Zaraki seems to think that the odds are about right and in his favor. Tōsen strikes first but his attack proves to be ineffective.
Rukia is taken out of her cell and begins the walk to her execution. Renji questions Yoruichi about the likelihood that Ichigo will be able to learn Bankai in the few hours that remain before Rukia's execution.
Thoughts
Zaraki and the group with him got the most focus in this episode. Ichigo didn't show up until the last few minutes. This was a decent episode but there was nothing crazy great about it.
