Star Trek: Lower Decks 2.10

First First Contact

Captain Freeman finds out that she about to receive a promotion and a transfer to another ship. She tries to keep it a secret but Mariner overhears her talking about the transfer to Captain Sonya Gomez, of the USS Archimedes. Mariner tells first her lower decks friends and then Ransom, Shaxs, and Billups.

The senior officers don't waste any time in confronting Captain Freeman about the transfer. They are angry that she didn't tell them immediately. Mariner isn't exactly overjoyed either. The arguments over Captain Freeman's imminent departure are set aside when they see the Archimedes get badly damaged by the side effects of a unexpected solar flare. Rutherford, whose cybernetic implant is malfunctioning due to it running out of memory, comes up with a solution that involves jettisoning the outer hull.

Star Trek: Lower Decks 2.08

I, Excretus

The Cerritos is visited by Shari yn Yem, an official from Starfleet who is there to test the crew through individual holopod drills. The lower decks and bridge crew are forced to change places. They are all fairly confident that they can manage but with one exception they all fail miserably. Boimler is the exception bur he keeps repeating the same test, one in which he faces off against the Borg by himself. His score keeps incrementally increasing but he isn't satisfied and keeps going over and over.

Shari reveals that they have all failed miserably. She is just waiting for Boimler to finish his testing but his success won't change anything. Captain Freeman and her crew scare the tester by heading straight for a Crystalline Entity and when that doesn't scare the tester enough they next head for a temporal black hole.

Star Trek: Lower Decks 2.07

Where Pleasant Fountains Lie

Mariner and Boimler are sent on a mission to escort AGIMUS, an evil computer, to the Daystrom Institute. On the way there they crash land on a desert planet. AGIMUS tries talking them into letting it help out. Boimler is all for it but Mariner is against it. They fight. Boimler stuns Mariner with a phaser after he learns that he wouldn't even be on this mission if it wasn't for her.

Rutherford goes on a mission with Billups to repair the engines of Hysperian Queen Paolana's starship. Billups, Rutherford's supervisor, is the crown prince of Hysperia. His mother is desperate to have him take her place but as long as he remains a virgin she can't force him to assume the crown.

The Spy Humongous

Captain Freeman and Shaxs attempt to negotiate a treaty with the Packleds but the Pakleds don't seem to understand a thing that the two Starfleet officers are saying. The Pakleds repeatedly refer to Freeman as Captain Janeway.

Mariner, Tendi, and Rutherford wind up on anomaly cleanup duty. They encounter all sorts of weird stuff and almost die on multiple occasions.

The Red Shirts, a group of aspiring junior officers, invite Boimler to join their ranks. They want to know all about what he learned while serving under Captain Riker aboard the Titan. They encourage him to act more inspiring. He decides in the end that he doesn't like hanging with them because they look down on his friends.

Star Trek: Lower Decks 2.05

An Embarrassment of Dooplers

The Cerritos is tasked with taking a Doopler emissary to Star Base 25. Dooplers have a tendency to duplicate when they get embarrassed. Everything goes fine until Captain Freeman says something negative about the emissary not realizing that he is standing nearby. He starts duplicating and pretty soon there are Doopler emissaries everywhere. The Cerritos is barred from docking at Starbase 25 until the situation with the Dooplers is resolved.

Mariner and Boimler secretly beam over to Starbase 25 in the hopes of sneaking into the legendary Captains After-Party. They get side tracked when Malvus an old acquaintance of Beckett's recognizes her.

Mugato, Gumato

Rutherford and Boimler hear a rumor that Mariner is actually a spy and believe it. All three are sent with Shaxs on an animal control mission to deal with some Mugatos, uni-horned white apes. They uncover a clandestine Ferengi operation but Boimler and Rutherford lose their cool when they think they see Mariner kill Shaxs.

Tendi is given a mission by Doctor T'ana to get DNA samples from the last 10 crew members that have yet to provide samples. Captain Freeman deals with a merchant whose ship comes apart when the Cerritos tries to stop it from leaving the area.

We'll Always Have Tom Paris

Tendi and Mariner go on a mission to retrieve a family heirloom for Doctor T'Ana. It is their first mission together. They get the heirloom but then Mariner breaks it. They go to great lengths to try and get it fixed. Their plan falls apart and they return to the Cerritos with the broken heirloom.

Boimler isn't recognized by the ship's computer. He goes to great lengths to get around on board the ship without it recognizing him. He can't even get doors to open for him. He has a commemorative plate that he wants Tom Paris to sign but by the time Boimler meets Lieutenant Paris he (Boimler) looks kind of odd and Paris beats him up because he thinks that Boimler is an intruder.

Star Trek: Lower Decks 2.02

Kayshon, His Eyes Open

Kayshon, the new security Chief, leads an away team consisting of Mariner, Tendi, Rutherford, and Manhaver to the ship of the collector Kerner Hauze. They are there to help inventory the items in the collection. Siggi, the chairman of the Collectors Guild, requested the help. He supervises their work. Instead of letting Kayshon and the others do their job he gets in the way and sets off a defense system which kills him and threatens to kill the others.

One of the security systems transforms Kayshon into a puppet version of himself. Mariner and Manover bicker until they finally realize that their arguing is putting them all in danger. Mariner asks Rutherford and Tendi to come up with a plan to get them out of there, alive, which they do.

Star Trek: Lower Decks 2.01

Strange Energies

Mariner goes on an away mission led by Jack Ransom. She tries to clean up the planet on which they have landed and winds up unleashing strange energies that give Ransom god-like powers. He unleashes his new powers on the Cerritos because he is sick of playing second fiddle to Mariner who has been on really good terms with Captain Freeman ever since 1.10 No Small Parts ended.

Tendi fears that Rutherford has changed and won't want to be her friend anymore. She attempts to cure him of synthetic memory degradation (SMD) while he is on a date with Ensign Barnes.
